General Information:
Live the music that has lasted throughout wars, time and borders, and get to know the Ranches where the history of the modern México was woven. Be a part of the authentic blacksmith’s feast with nothing better to cheer you up than Mariachis.
This tour begins at your hotel where we take the old road to Puerto Navidad, the most important harbor in the Pacific Ocean during the Colonial period.
Once we arrive in Cocula, we will visit La Sauceda Ranch, where in 1905, the first Mariachi group left for Mexico City just to sing “Las Mañanitas” to President Porfirio Diaz. It was here where the Cocula Mariachi’s fame and reputation spread throughout the world.
Later, as we get to the Municipality, we will visit The Mariachi Museum, the temple of La Virgen de la Asunción, and The Government House. We can also make a stop at the temple of San Miguel Archangel just to recall the Cristeros War, because it was here where Saint Sabas became a martyr. This saint is one of the 200 saints canonized in 2000 by the Catholic church.
After enjoying our meal, and of course having been delighted with the Mariachi music, we will leave town, heading back to Guadalajara, in the middle of a party onboard the tour bus.
